Balliol is a friendly lower school which lies to the south of the town of Kempston. Currently just over 270 children aged between 3 and 9 attend the school where we have 11 classes. All children start in Acorns, our nursery classes, and move through to Elm and Oak classes, our Year 4 children.

We hope our website gives you a flavour of life at Balliol and the experiences we provide for our children. We are proud of the excellent facilities we have on our school site and our staff take pride in being able to support and challenge our children within a caring and supportive community.

Our school ethos is built upon an acknowledgement of the importance of home and school working together in partnership. We have extremely strong links with Pear Tree Children’s Centre that is based on the school site and work alongside Hastingsbury pre-school (also on our site) to provide good pre-school education to our youngest children.
