    Welcome to Year 6's class page.  This is somewhere for us to share useful information and important updates.  As a general rule, if you need it, it will be on here.  Having said that, if there is anything else that you would like to see on here, please let us know.

    Year 6 SATs Revision Books

    The school is able to offer these at a reduced price, meaning you can save money if you order through us.  If you would like to take advantage of this, an order form has been sent home, and is also below.

    • You can order revision books anytime between now and half-term.  You can also place your order at the SATs meeting.
    • Copies of the books will be available for you to look at during the SATs meetings.
    • We can advise you if you are unsure about what would be best for your child.

    This term we have an exciting addition to our school curriculum.   From 23/02/2026 - 06/02/2026, there will be a temporary swimming pool installed on our school grounds. 

    Over the 2 weeks, your child/children will have access to swimming lessons, taught by a fully qualified swimming instructor and a lifeguard. This is a great opportunity for your child / children to learn and develop their swimming skills, which we believe as a school, is a fundamental life skill to be taught.

    All swimming safety equipment will be provided. However, we require that all children please bring the following items: 

    ●   Fitted swimming shorts or trunks for boys 

    ●  Fitted one piece swimming costumes for girls 

    ●  Towel  

    ●   Swimming hat 

    ●  Swimming goggles (optional) 

    If there is any other reason for which your child cannot take part in the swimming programme, then please speak to the class teacher. 


    There is a swimming competency question at the bottom of the online form; please can these be completed to the best of your knowledge. This will be used to help guide initial groupings. However, there will also be an initial assessment carried out.
     

    We are currently working on the timetables for the classes and groups and will let you know the day/days that your child will be swimming in the week beginning the 9th February.
