Welcome to Oak Class!

Thank you for visiting our class page. You will find lots of useful updates about what we have been up to and plenty of information on how to boost your learning at home. Don't forget to show your parents!

    If you would like to contact me, please use the class email below (this is for both parents and children). I love to see what you have been getting up to!

  • Water bottles:

    Please bring your water bottle every day and take it home every evening. Water can be accessed during lessons at all times (the children will be aware that this should not interrupt their listening and completion of tasks/activities) and can be used at lunchtimes.

    P.E.: 

    This term, Beech's P.E. will be on Tuesday (outdoor) and Thursday (indoor) afternoons. On these P.E. days, children must come to school in their P.E. kit. Please ensure correct Balliol P.E. kit is worn and, in colder weather, that warm long-legged and long-sleeved clothing is provided, alongside appropriate footwear. 

    French

  • KS2 French game - Learn French language vocabulary and grammar for primary school children - Dash and Blink - BBC Bitesize 

Homework:

Each week children will be sent home homework linked to what they are learning in class. Children to hand homework back in by the next Friday. 

Maths:

Spellings:

  • Learn 10 spellings from the ‘Key Words’ list which has been copied and sent home so you know the words your child is working on this half term.

Reading:

  • Read daily - The children can now bring their books home each evening and return to school with them the following day. Children are encouraged to read at home for at least 10-15 minutes 3-4 times a week.

Topic:

  • Each half term, children will also be given ‘Topic’ projects to complete. Please encourage/support children to work on these projects at home.
