This term's topic is "Traders and Raiders," where we will learn about the Anglo-Saxons and Vikings. The children will discover how they lived, what daily life was like for them, and explore their culture and traditions. We will look at Anglo-Saxon artwork and patterns, and then create our own designs inspired by their art. As part of the project, students will sew their own wallet and print their design on the front to make a useful item for home. Additionally, they will develop researching skills by creating their own class Wikipedia page about the Anglo-Saxons and Vikings. This topic will give us a deeper understanding of these fascinating periods in history.
