Audition Materials

Below are the cast descriptions,  scripts and song tracks you will need to practice for the auditions for the following characters;

• Annie
• Grace Farrell
• Oliver Warbucks
• Miss Hannigan
• Rooster
• Lily
• Orphans 

Please read through the cast descriptions to help you decide which character you would like to play. You could also watch the film/s to get a better idea of the songs and storyline. 

Auditions are only required for these main characters. Smaller parts will be given based on these too. If you would like to be in the ensemble and not have a main part, you do not need to take part in the auditions and will automatically have a role in the ensemble. 

The club will start after half term and I will confirm the start date nearer the time.

Initial Information 

Following the huge success of our last 2 musicals, Aladdin and  Matilda.  I have decided to run another musical this year. The club will be open to children in years 4-6 working towards a final production of Annie Jr. To allow plenty of rehearsal time, I have decided to run this club on a Friday afternoon during the usual Friday provision time (will start sometime after half term). Whilst I have not confirmed the final performance dates, I anticipate this to be around mid-July. 

I am looking for children in Years 4 - 6 who love to sing, dance and act to join our musical theatre group. The club will take place every Friday afternoon running from 1.30pm - 3pm. Children should be collected from their usual collection points.

Taking part in this is a huge commitment that I would like you to discuss with your child before signing up. There will be lots of songs and dances to learn and for many children lots of words! Last year we rehearsed most lunchtimes as well as extended Fridays as we got closer to the performances. Nearer the performance dates, we may require additional after school rehearsals that we would expect all children to attend (last year we had a day rehearsal in May half term). We may also need children to source their own costume/s, we will obviously advise with this nearer the time. 

We will hold auditions for the main, larger roles but all children wishing to take part will be given a role in the musical. 

If your child would like to take part, please complete the form below by Friday 20th September. Our first full session will not take place until after half term (I will confirm the date nearer the time). Before then I will post song tracks and audition materials for the children to practice in readiness.
