Welcome to Year 6!

Welcome to Year 6's class page.  This is somewhere for us to share useful information and important updates.  As a general rule, if you need it, it will be on here.  Having said that, if there is anything else that you would like to see on here, please let us know.

Student Leader Applications

If you are applying to be a Student Leader, your letter must be with Mrs Bicknell by MONDAY 21ST SEPTEMBER.

Your letter should do the following:

  • Explain why you are writing to Mrs Bicknell.  This might be to apply for the position of Student Leader or to apply to be Head Boy / Head Girl.
  • Tell Mrs Bicknell a little bit about you.
  • Explain why you want to be a Student Leader / Head Boy / Head Girl.
  • Explain why you would make a good Student Leader / Head Boy / Head Girl.

Your letter should be written using a formal tone, as you are applying for a position of responsibility.  It can be handwritten or typed.

If you need any help, please speak to Mrs Bicknell, or to your class teacher.

Secondary School Open Evenings

Bedford Free School - 24th September 5pm - 8.30pm

Bedford Free School holds it Open Evening on Thursday 24th September between 5 and 8.30 pm. Prospective parents are invited to join us for a tour of the school, the chance to speak to current pupils and staff, and to hear a presentation from the principal at either 5.45pm, 6.30pm and 7.15pm.

Please also note, there is no onsite parking - please park in Melbourne Street carpark, which is about 5 minutes from us, postcode MK42 9AN

Secondary School Admissions

The application process for secondary school admissions is now open.
