We have been enjoying getting to know each other and coming up with some class rules.
We have been learning about dialogue, in preparation to use inverted commas to punctuate direct speech.

Can you use the speech sandwich below to write sentences?

We have been listening to the fable 'Wolf and Lamb,' reading to write our own in our upcoming lessons. We explored different adjectives to describe the Wolf and Lamb, comparing their different character traits.

In D&T (Design and Technology), we have explored, designed and made our own moving fable characters using a pneumatic system. Have a look at some below...
We looked at contractions in English, realising that it is when 2 words are joined together, using an apostrophe for the missing letters. Have a look at the work that some of us did below. We used blocks to find the 2 words and then placed the matching contraction on top, taking note of the apostrophe replacing the missing letter(s).

In Computing, we have been looking at spotting and correcting off-by-one bugs on Scratch. We revisited the term 'algorithm' which is an unambiguous procedure or precise step-by-step guide to solve a problem or achieve a particular objective. We looked at the Scratch script and the algorithm, trying to spot the script block that needed changing to make it work.
