Friends of Balliol (FOB) is a voluntary independent charity, made up of an
elected mixture of parents, staff and members of the community. Its purpose is to support the school, supporting the facilities provided by the Local Authority to advance the education of the children, through a strong partnership with the school itself. We do this by fostering close co-operation and communication among parents, staff and others associated with the school, extending our relationship, and engaging in activities that support the school. Friends of Balliol play an important role within the school and local community with activities centered on fundraising and communication. As well as raising money for new toys and resources  we also make significant contributions to make school trips more affordable to families. Friends of Balliol (FOB) are always seeking volunteers to help with FOB activities and welcome parents, staff and members of the community at our half termly meetings. If you would like any other information regarding FOB, would like to become a member or have any suggestions or about fund raising (or where the money might be spent), please do not hesitate to contact any of the committee or alternatively drop a note into the school office for the attention of FOB.ideas

We look forward to your support over the coming year!

Friends of Balliol have organised and run a huge variety of events throughout the year and have raised a considerable amount of money to help the children at Balliol by as usual paying half the costs of coaches for trips, paying for Christmas parties and presents, paying £1,500 towards the repair of the swimming pool and purchasing an up and over play house for the foundation stage playground!

Friends of Balliol have worked very hard this term to organise the annual Summer Fete which was a huge success! Thank you to everyone who supported us and a huge thank you to the Friends of Balliol Committee Members, Teachers, Support Staff, Parents and other helpers who worked tirelessly on that day!
