Our topic this half term is: Why do leaves go crispy?

- To earn your fantastic news you need to bring in some Autumn artefacts.
- To earn a head teachers award, you need to make an Autumn fact sheet.

Parent Note - w/c 20.11.17

This week the children will listen to other versions of the Nativity story. They will be asking and answering questions about the story.

The children will continue to practise writing letters using the correct sequence of movements in their handwriting books. They will be learning to write capital letters this week.

The children will continue to have a daily phonics lesson where they will practise the skill of ‘saying the sounds’ to read the words.

In Maths the children will be continuing to learn to calculate (adding numbers together).

In P.E. the children will continue to develop their throwing and catching skills.

The children will continue to learn to sing songs for the concert- expect to hear some Christmas songs! They will also be given parts and start to practise for the performance.

To continue learning about the Seasons the children will finish making a collage to represent each season to create a calendar.
